SCY is partnering with Cook County's Justice Advisory Council as part of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (U.S. Department of Justice) Safe and Thriving Communities program grant to plan and implement the South Suburban Safe and Thriving Communities Project

This project will seek to reduce youth violence in the communities of Ford Heights, Robbins and Harvey by linking youth ages 10-24 to trauma-informed prevention, intervention and workforce development services and supports. Through stakeholder collaboration, the project will identify strategies and initiatives that work to reduce youth violence and exposure to violence providing alternative services and supports to foster better youth outcomes. SCY will be a part of the strategic planning process and will assist with community assessment, identification of data needs, and preparation of place-based plans.
